Rivets.. again...

Been looking through old topics on rivets..

Will the 4 x 10 blind ali rivets from screwfix be good / ok for body panels?

I'll fill the holes in the rivet with a bit of filler as i'm painting the ali body work...

Any comments apreciated ...

cheers

Hi, You might care to consider using countersunk rivets. They are less obtrusive and will disappear completely when the panels are painted. Also, being flush, you can fit a component over the top without the rivet head interfering. I buy my rivets and rivnuts from Primary Fasteners and they are very helpful with all the technical advice you need. Their website is: http://www.prifast.co.uk/index.htm.
Hope this is of interest.

Cheers

John
