M6 gutter bolts and sva
I have used these on my wheel arches instead of bolts as they are dome heads, but they have washers underneath that extend a few millimeters outside
the head. The washers are flat against the arches.
My first question is whether these will pass sva and second, are there any caps I could fit over them?
I have seen small bolts that have a flat plastic washer with cap attached that snaps over the head.
Are these made in a size big enough to fit over a M6 gutter bolt?
I have the usual sva M6 black dome caps and I could change the gutter bolts to hex type, but the high domes of the caps would look a bit ugly.

Probably!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, I would like to leave them as just dome head bolts and not have to change them.
The stupid thing is, has anyone looked at the ariel atom?
Link
The bolts are cap heads and are exposed on their suspension, no edging on wheel arches and coilovers have no protection.
How do they get away with it?
Maybe they 'lost' the bolt caps after ESVA?

I've used M5 cap heads on my front mud guards and might still need some silicone to fill the hex bolt area try the same with M6 they
aren't That much bigger are they ??
re the Atom, if you were selling a design like that , would you leave all the sva rubber bits on it for promo shots ??

Why not use the mushroom heads which are usually stainless and look pretty good - I've used them whenever I could find an excuse

Think you'll find if you check the SVA manual (Yawn, Yawn) that if it protrudes less than either 3 or 4mm (can't remember which ottomh)
then it doesn't count as regards the radii checks?
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Russ, they will look better than the gutter bolts anyway.
