Rear Number Plate and its mounting

Hi folks,
Are there any SVA issues around the sheet steel construction of the rear plate carrier? Is it best to finish the metal slightly 'short' of the plastic plate itself and do we need to cut the steel exactly to the edge of the lamp - or is this not an SVA issue on a 7?

Number plate not needed.
Do it after SVA,
Steve.

I've just fixed the rear number plate straight to the GRP panel with 2x M6 nuts and dome cap head bolts. Likewise, the numberplate lamp is also fitted directly to the GRP. No time to be making something to fit in between
