prep before laquer
After a small incident on a roundabout in tin top (not my fault!) I have
had to do a repair to wing. Just want to know what's the best way to prep the new paint before aplying lthe laquer? (fine wet and dry or cutting
compound etc).
Thanks
Ben.

I used 100 wet'n'dry on a key scratch done to the door of my volvo
I use a thin piece of wood, ~ 2mm wide to sand down just the raised paint; then sprayed on the laquer with air brush (it was narrow scrape).
I thnk I finished it off with t-cut.

Get grey automotive scotchbrite from a bodyshop supplier - designed for the job
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Thanks for the advice guys.
It's metalic silver aerosol. Am on second attempt. Audi suplied paint was miles off. Amazingly, halfords tin is a good match. Never going to be
perfect with out getting a pro to do it but looking pretty good so far. Quite pleased!
Ben.
