Syd Barrett, sad loss.
How ironic, having pre ordered "The Pulse" some months ago, it arrived the
day Syd Barrett's death is announced. Although I far prefer the later Floyd
(dare I say Gilmour Days) works, I thank and respect the influence Mr Barrett
had in helping create (IMO) the worlds greatest band.
RIP, Syd Barrett.

Indeed, a sad day, but more tragic is the way he spent the last 30 years.
I too much prefer post Barrett Floyd but he was certainly instrumental (yuk, bad pun ) in developing the Pink Floyd sound.
Good to hear Mark Radcliff play most of 'Crazy Diamond yesterday on Radio 2.
I felt compelled to remove System of a Down from the CD drawer and play the whole of Echoes...
Maybe now Mason and Gilmore will stop the squabbling and get it together.

But the cautious man does not live at all.....
