Fixing grill and side vent- how???
Got a bit of a problem, can't work out how to fix my grill to the inside of my body work and the same goes for the side vent.
issue 1
I've bought the stainless mesh that is woven together and so it moves a bit like an extending garden fence (XXXX style).
issue 2
I initially thought about using some fibreglass bridgeing compound, but as I've already painted the body the reaction is likely to cause
distaution to the outer surface.
issue 3
The side vent is next to exhaust down pipe so what ever I use will need to be able to withstand a fair degree of heat.
The only thing I can come up with is to use some very small dome top bolts through the body work, but I'm not a fan of this option, any other
suggestions greatly received...

We used PU adhesive to bond grill mesh to back of GRP. Works fine and should stand up to heat pretty well.

bend it back around the mouth of the grill and use some sikaflex!

where can I pick some PU up from, b&q?
whats the consistance like i.e. silicon sealant or wood glue (is it likely to run!)?

For example:
The grille on the lower part of the front splitter on the Morgan Aero8 is held in place by what are basically threared studs glued to the GRP
moulding...the mesh is then pushed over the stud and a nut is put on....
Problem we had was that the studs sometimes come loose when overtightened

Our local B&Qs didn't sell it but we found machine mart does at about £6. Its just a bit thicker consistency that ordinary silicone
