the driver side is different for UK and Europe you know...

Front Left Hand Side
From either seat it's always going to be the left side of the car when looking forward.

in the uk we normally use nearside and offside (being left and right respectivly, looking forward), hence a driver in the uk gets out of the o/s/f
door.
