The Grille is started!

Thank you all for your replies and for your help in sourcing the ally mesh. Our local motor factors had a piece 30 x 90cm in stock so, deep joy. Unfortunately, it was clear anodised and that has given me some grief but I have managed to weld one piece in, not that pretty but it won't fall out. This is for the air to exit the bonnet from the radiator. I hope the second piece goes as well.

I'll post the finished item(providing I manage not to blow a hole through it!) when complete.

that's the best close-up I could get (well, that's my story anyway tee hee!)

Yes I'm using TIG and had to try to sand off the anodising from the grille material before welding.
