Can't find any nice over centre catches
I need some over centre catches for my gull wing windows. They are at head height so they need to be smooth edged and attractive to look at - not the
agricultural things that seem to be the norm.
Ideally about 80mm long
I've looked at Car Builder, Merlin and Europa but there's nothing suitable.
Can anyone help me out?
Cheers,
Raz

Have you tried any Marine catalogs. There are some very nice stainless fittings for boats/yacths.

Hi Raz, Have you had a look at Rally Design? They do a stainless steel catch that actually locks in place so that it cannot accidentally open.
I've got a pair of these still to be fitted to the Trials car but for what I want, they are perfect. This is the page from their
cataloguehttp://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=over+centre&x=0&y=0

None of they two links are working and I've no idea what an over centre catch is so I can't redo them

Protex
Look under case latch or similar.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Thanks for the input guys
Tralfaz - I have looked in a few Chandlery related sites but they seem to be clunky brass things which might look a bit out of place on a lightweight
window. I suppose if you know where to look its easy
John - The Rally Design jobbies look about right although they don't give dimensions, but a phone call tomorrow should fix that.
Tom / Pete - The Protex website appears to be down at the moment but I will keep trying.
Cheers,
Raz

You are not wrong there! Their technical support guy was very helpful and is sending me a sample for evaluation ....... now if I can only get three
more samples I will be a very happy man
