Winscreen wipers
I can't get the spindles on my mini wipers to sit at 90 degrees to the screen as the spindles are too short. Any ideas how to get the geometry
right?
TIA

You can't.. Even on a westfeild they use the springs in the arms to take up the diffrance.. Not ideal but it works..
The longest wheel boxes are 2.5in on lucas ones, that set's how close to 90 you can get..

I had the same thing on a Westy, to the extent that I was getting scratches on the screen. On a forum they suggested doing the following (which
worked): set the spindles as close to 90 degrees as you can, fit the arms then twist the arms (by holding the flats in an adjustable spanner or
similar) to change the angle of attack on the screen. It made it much better - just try a bit at a time until you get a position that works

Yup. A little bit of arm bending works wonders.....
