windscreen glass installation - how to avoid the wobble?

I have fixed the glass in the frame of my windscreen using a rubber seal in the same way that I did for my last build, a Robin Hood 2B. (ie main section of U section upside down, flat rubber trim on top, push the glass in. Repeat with the botton of U section. Trim rubber with stanley knife.) This time however, the glass moves about in the frame. I could gum the whole lot up with sealer but that seems a little heath robinson.

Any views on the best way forward?

thicker i.e. tighter rubber? May be better to get proper U profile rubber rather than flat? Woolies do some which might work.

Or is the frame a little too big?
