interested in the pro depending on discount
posted on the wscc thread as I still have an account there... also interested in the pro at the right price...
does anyone know if it comes with loom specific plug - e.g. specific for a ZZR1400 or if I have to wire it all myself... not a speciality of mine..

anyone able to give me some advice before i put my name down on this one...
am building a Indy R with 2008 R1 engine and paddleshift gearlevers. Is the flatshifter going to be suitable and which model?
And I've noted there are couple of different variations on the flatshifter by different companies, one by Andy B (if I remember correctly). Is
any particular one better than the other?
Ive just fitted a flatshifter to my busa. You have to find the wire in the loom that feeds this injectors ideally and if that can't be done (as
in my installation) then the wire that feeds the coils will do although this does not give as smoother shift. I have it on good info that all the
models that cut the ignition have soft restore although it is stated that not all have it.
I have fitted the kit sold as the MAX which is the Klictronic along with Expert. It has taken me 3 days solid to get it on and has been an absolute
bastard! Mainly due to it being a universal kit with no bespoke brakets available and also my 08 engine was a bit of an unknown for the company.
John at Trickshifter (the guy who makes all the Flatshifters) has been really very helpful.

stick me down for a pro (same as above - discount dependant)

Just to keep you guys not on wscc informed I copied this from wscc

just back from a trackday and a little bit knackered so I'll update the list tomorrow but to give my view on the trickshifter/flatshifter
discussion, and based on what I read, they are identical but the flatshifter unit tend to be better set-up from the "factory" making the
install easier.
I wasn't at work today but I did ask graham the discount he could give for 10 and 20 units so I'll put his answer up on monday.
As you say, anybody with a business today won't look down at an order of around £7,5k value!

now updated with pricing at wscc.

ok guys, got a quote from trickshifter and they give us 25% off (for 10 or more kits, 15% for 5-9 kits) the retail price which equate to £371.25 + VAT
and shipping on the up and down shifter
They do not offer something equivalent to the expert kit sold by flatshifter unfortunately.
On the set-up of the group buy point of view, they want only one payment so somebody would have to collect money upfront from everyone else and then
pay trickshifter directly. I wouldn't mind collecting the money and paying them but as I only have a french bank account even if I have one in £
it will cost you all I think.
I need to see if they are willing to ship each kit individually.
Still waiting for Flatshifter to get back to me with prices.
What do you guys think? anyone to deal with the money aspect?
That really isnt enough discount for me.
Unless it comes down by quite a bit more than that I'm out.
Thanks
Jim
Deal is done at 25%, this was the best that could be achieved.
Andy at CAT Motorsport is acting as the one order middle man for us, he will collect the dosh through his business, place and receive the order then
ship out to individuals.
If you are still interested send me a U2U asap and i'll pass on the details.
Cheers
Andy
I've read as much as I can about flatshifter and trickshifter but I just need someone to say yes or no to the following question before I pay for
this:
Is the Trickshifter EXACTLY the same as the Flatshifter Pro?
The only difference I can find is that flatshifter pro has a "Built-In Inhibitor Prevents Engine Damage" which trickshifter doesnt appear
to.
"The system has a built-in inhibitor which helps prevent rear wheel locking or engine damage caused by shifting down at too high engine speed.
Taken from here?
*blush* ahem, ok... Andy, can you U2U me details on how to pay please.
No worriesmate, I know nowt about them, just been reading it myself to see if I could find any differences.
