throttle bods
theconrodkid - 29/8/06 at 06:43 PM

ive nailed the gsxr bods to my zetec/dcoe inlet manifold, the spacing is a little different tho,i can cut and extend the plain fuel rail pipes but the one with the fuel inlet on it,there isnt enough room/pipe to extend with the hex getting in the way.
so what have you lot done?

There's just enough room to do a cut and shut

I did it twice to get a feed and return and just used high pressure hose and fuel hose clips to do it. Works a treat..
Thats at DCOE spacing of the bodies

right got that bit sorted, anyone got a spare fuel T peice?.
what to do with the throttle linkage, bend or extend?

Doofus - 30/8/06 at 10:40 PM

Extend the middle one bend the outer two.
I got an 8mm plastic T from B&Q I think. I keep meaning to replace it with a metal one but it's worked ok so far...a few thousand miles done.

mmmmmmmmm plastic,i have an SVA to get through, donk know if they would like it and ,if yours are the same as mine, there is a groove near the ends with an O ring in

Conrod,

I gave up and splashed out in the end and bought an extra t-piece from a Suzuki dealer. Think it was about 30 quid though so not exactly locost

Bought a complete rail from Jenvey. Bolted on. Job done.

Bending tends to run the risk of bending the spindles.

I spot welded a couple of plates onto the existing ones.

thought about damaging the spindles, was going to drill n tap 3mm,2.5 mm drill is to small for the tap, gave up and had a cuppa after that
