Plan to build me a manifold for my gixxer TB's. The thing is that the gixxer TB's are round and the ports on the zetec head are far from
round. The bottom is flat and the top is pointy (to make room for the standard injector) What is the best way to go?
Shall i just make a flange that suits the head and then weld some round pipes for the TB's?
Or should i make a more smooth transition from the round pipe to the shape of the port?

Thanks for the reply
I have seen that before. But that
setup is based on the ST170 inlet. I plan to make my own inlet.
I'm doing the same and reckon on using a steel or ally flange matched to the ports (ignoring the injector part of the port) with 38mm x 1.5 tube
for the inlets
Intend to squeeze the tube at one end which should give a close match to the port oval and remain round at the other end for the TB's
although
I've not actually put it to the test yet
Cheers

Have a look in conrodkids photo archive,he cleverly used a weber/zetec/DCOE manifold and adapted it to take the GSXR TB's

being that i am extremely clever, would you expect anything else?
Thanks for all reply.
I would love to use ally, but i don't have tools or the skills to weld ally
So i'm stuck with steel
I did the same on my plenum chamber when i used the standard fuelrail and injectors.
