Been using my home pc in the garage to turn my megajolt but the wife keeps giving me dirty looks, as anything that i borrow from the house never comes back working from the garage .
I can borrow a laptop at work but its only has USB sockets.
Can anyone recomend a USB to Serial adaptor that works properly.

I don't have what you are looking for but I do have an old PC, monitor, keyboard etc. It was running fine when we replaced it, you are welcome to
it, foc, if it's any use to you.

I recommend that you ask the same question on the MegaJolt forum here.
Brent Picasso (the designer) has had some issues with USB-serial converters, and he should be able to steer you towards on that he knows will work.

This one has been recommended but I haven't actually tried it.
I bought one off Ebay and it works fine for me.
Pretty sure Graememk would be able to let you have one that will work if you U2U him.

i had an issue with a converter at first. I dowlnloaded the latest config software as recommended by brent and it worked perfectly.
Brent was extremely helpful on his site. Cant praise him high enough.
