An air leak could cause the spit/pop out of just one? but I think a balancing session would show this up?

perhaps a float that is jamming shut or fuel way cruddied up?
Have you got a colourtune glass spark plug ?

If it did this with different carbs also could it be a valve sticking?

Maybe worth looking at the spark plugs, have a spare set ready if your anything like me removing them

Thanks robocoq
The diaphragms are fine, also the floats,I have also changed the plugs. Its looking more like what we both suspect a valve.I was hoping somebody would come up with something simpler.I was not looking at any more major surgery untill the winter.
