PC to MS

Can i go to PC World and buy a lead to link the MS to my LapTop, or, is there a specific lead i need ?

from what i can tell - its just a standard pc to pc serial cable that you can definately get from pc world

altho expect to pay way over the odds for them - goto any local computer shop and pay a fiver less

I got a standard 9-pin serial cable from maplin - £6.99, male one end, female the other.

you might find if its a modern laptop it wont have a serial port. . . . so you will need a usb to serial cable

if you need any cables let me know i just happen to own a computershop

Just checked laptop and it has a 9 pin connector on it, so off to Maplins i go for one of these.... £6.99.

PC World wanted £20.00 !!!!!

You need to make sure it is a 9 pin male to female straight through cable, these are sold as extension cables for serial mouse etc.or you could make your own , pins 2 3 and 5 only need to be connected between each plug.
