Have done it

You will need to attach a vacuume feed to the carbs. Easier said than done on bike carbs.

It will run but not give an ideal level of ignition advance for a tuned engine.

Basic Zetec Running

When I had problems getting my car through the SVA test on FI I converted to Weber carbs and passed running the ignition on just an Edis unit. This operates the engine at a fixed 10 degee advance, but thr car would still do 80 mph.

I thing the control unit in the above reply, with a vacuum connection is an ECU from a 1.3 Escort of circa 1990, and may give variable ignition advance, as well as load sensing.

yes fitted to escorts and fiestas ect. It does in deed alter the advance with the load of the engine.

As cheap as it gets.
