Im almost ready to tackle the dark art of Megajolt, and although there isnt a great deal of info on the net, SAW & PIP keep popping up.
What are they?????
Thanks in advance.
just an in out type signal for timing. Nothing to worry about, just connect to the right terminals and hey presto!
As Coozer says, treat it as black box, as long as the connections are correct it just works...
SAW = Spark Advance Word ; the width of the pulse represents the spark advance, is sent to EDIS.
PIP = Profile Ignition Pick-up, signal to represent engine speed.

have a read here
^^^What they said, plus if you find that your rev counter bounces around and then disappears, wire the tacho input to the PIP connection instead of
the tacho output on the megajolt.
Result: works a treat!
