To pass an MOT, does the rear fog light on a seven need to be powered from the headlight switch (i.e you can only be able to switch the rear fog on when the headlamps are on.) Or can it have its own independant supply.

the rear fog can work independantly from other lights, but must have a warning lamp to say its on regardless of how its powered.

Normally it won't come on until at least the sidelights are on.
