Can anyone recommend a LOUD light horn?
sucksqueezebangblow - 5/12/08 at 10:03 AM

I'm looking for a VERY LOUD but light horn (want to keep weight down). I assume a twin tone will be the loudest. Any one using one that fits the bill and that they can recommend?

Ring "Nautilus". Loud enough to physicly move trucks out of your way.

adrian

Thunderace posted this yesterday.

£8 for 130db

Fiamm Hiway Blasters (two seperate horns non-air) - produces 143dB

Nautilus (air horn) – needs 18Amps - produces 139db

Magnum - produces 132db

Apparently BMW fits Fiamm Hiway Blasters as standard on their cars…so there’s a cheap source if you live near a scrapyard

Hi All,

Thanks for all the recommendations. I've just taken a look at the Nautilus and the Magnum.

I've gone for the Magnum based on weight and ampage, but might yet go for the Nautilus if the MNR wiring will take it (and put the Magnum on the Buell instead).

you could have simply ran a single 20amp wire from the battery, though a relay switch triggered by the original horn feed.

That’s what I'm going to do for my cbr125

Not lightweight, but fairly loud:
