wiring the electric fan

I have what i believe is a micra radiator which has a switch built in for the fan to operate. I am not sure of the correct way to connect the wiring. Help please.
Cheers Rich

Ground one side of the switch on the rad...

The other side needs to go to one side of the coil on a relay.... Other side of the coil goes to +ve battery

Then simply put a +ve supply onto the switched contact on the relay, runa wire from the other contact on relay to the motor... and earth the motor...

watch your fingers, quite a lot of power in fans

and don't forget to fuse the power run to the fan...

And consider whether to wire the fan's +ve supply from the switched or unswitched feed.

I chose to connect to the unswitched (always live) feed, as I wanted the fan to help cool the engine down after I've stopped the engine.

There are arguments for each option...
