Spiral Wrap
spdpug98 - 17/2/09 at 08:50 AM

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to buy small lengths of spiral wrap for my (engine side) loom.

I have seen it on ebay but to get good value you need to buy 10m and I only need small lengths of a couple of sizes

another vote for CBS, top blokes.

Just watch you dont get carried away. I usually finish buying everything I need, then trawl back through for stuff I want, and finnally go back through again as I'm so close to the £100 free postage it seems a shame to waste it.

Most £ shops have it or maplin saves alot on the postage

I used 6mm split convoluted tube. It will not show the dirt like the spiral wrap will do after a while.

Still... nothing wrong with either method.

Split tubing gets my vote as well, easier to place wires inside and easier to mod the loom at a later date if needed. The spiral stuff is a right pain.

You will come to loathe spiral wrap after you've had to re-wrap a large section of the loom for the third time because you've had to put in yet another wire you hadn't thought of. Trust me
