10mm Battery Lead Terminal
dhutch - 1/3/09 at 11:54 PM

Im planning to put in a battery isolator switch on the main +ve feed but am suggling to get conectors.
- The feed is fairly small for what it is, about 4min dia with insulation removed, but the battery isolator has 10mm terminals.

I bought some 8mm crimp ends to suit the cable in the hope i could drill them out but theres not enough metal, and im stuggling to find anything else to go on 10mm studs other than for 25mm^2 and above cable.

Sorry, jsut realised that, those would not be correct for you - Give the guy a ring (His name is Alan, and he's a top fella) he should be able to either sell you a couple or recommend somewhere for you.

I can probably find a couple and drop them over to you tonight - do you want crimp or solder ones ?

You sure you can't drill it out to 10mm? That's what I did!!!! Put a washer either side of it, job done....

Yeah well that was the origanal idea, but looking at them here i thing you would be very lucky yo get a 10mm hole in it without going through the side. Coupled with the fact that they actually sent my on 8mm and the other 6mm! (narrower blade as well as hole)

If you cant find some that would be excellent.
- Im not in a rush so done make a special trip for it. But that would great.

Crimp on would be my nateral choice, although i dont have a crimper so would be doing them with pliers.
