Are bike batteries ok to be used on BECs?

I can get one that was used on a large bike in case that makes much difference.

Of course they're fine.
The battery is only used to start the engine so whether the engine is in a motorbike or a car is irrelevant.
It's the alternator that has to supply all the extra bits and pieces that a car has and a bike hasn't.

Its worth investing in a battery conditioner (c-tek are good) for the winter months as they do die in the cold especially if they aren't used much.
