my friend got his radio nicked out his car, and hes replaced it now, but the annoying beep that comes on when youve left your lights on comes on so he cant lock it with the keyfob. any ideas? i was thinking maybe an earthing fault??
Check to make sure all the door pin/boot/bonnet switches are working and are being activated then the doors/bonnet boot are closed.
In some cars part of the security system is tied to the radio.
check the wiring on the radio, prob a problem with the dimmer function wiring. Its connected to the headlight circuit to dim the facia when you are night driving, must be something up there as i assume its only happened when the new stereo was fit....
