Following on from the kitcar theft thread below, has anyone come up with a kitcar ECU which can check for a security condition being met before
starting up?
I was thinking jolt/squirt code could be written with this in mind. At the simplest this could be looking for a contact to be made (imobilizer,
hidden switch, keyless go etc), or if someone went all-out it could even ask a transponder/key for a rolling code.
mine is padlocked in a metal cage under the dash
how much more security do you need! (sorry could help myself)

With Megajolt the car will run at 10 degs straight off the EDIS so you would be better off with the EDIS isolated.
Anything can be nicked, it is really about making it bloody difficult so they give up and go away.
Apart from the different electrical isolators i have i also have a big yellow handbrake to gearlever lock.
key switch to the ignition system feed?
Hidden multi pole key switch to switch:
Feed to Edis
Feed to ECU (?)
and Feed to Ignition
Plus youd have a key operated ignition, so i reckon that is as far as i would go. If they really want it, theyll find a way of getting it. Just hope
the Fkers drive it under the front of an HGV on the first Left Hand bend.
Something visible is always a good option. Otherwise they'll get in, wreck the ignition and then give up when it's not working by which time
they've had a good rummage and damage going on.
Maybe you could wire something up so you have to press the brake and clutch together, like the bikes (mine had to be in neutral, a PITA when you
stalled)
