Hi, Has any one done a stick coil mod on their bec, Have read about zzr1100 being changed to use zx9r stick coils. Has any one on here done one and if so are there any benifits.

Hi Mate,

I have done the stick coil change on mine,I had a bad HT lead that was my reason for the change.I personally have not noticed any difference apart from the fact it tidies the engine bay up.

The stick coils I used were off a GSXR 1000(K2) and the harness from a Honda.

Watch how you are wiring if you do decide to change as the coil packs have to be wired in series and make sure you get the correct coils,the resistance across the coil needs to be approx 1.8 ohms.
