Chaps,
I know nothing about electrics so this might all be fine, but I wanted to check!
Currently I have a normal dash light wired up for my oil light (the small pencil type) and I am thinking of changing this to an oval side repeater so
that it is bigger and more obvious. I think that the original light is 2w but the new one is 5w - will this cause any problems, wires getting hot
etc.
ALSO, the chap that built my car put the green lights in the dash over to the left so you can't really see them if it is a bright day - I plan to
solder a couple of LED's that I picked up from Detling to the wires and put these right in front of me so I can see if they haven't
cancelled. If I wire additional lights in, will this cause more of a draw through the cables and cause any problems.
Just want to check as I don't want to set fire to the wiring loom!
TIA
Mark.
2 watt to 5 watt is a vey small increase so no problem.
Adding LED's as they take so little power is also no problem
Also remember that LED's, unlike bulbs, only work wired up in one direction.
Cheers, I didn't know that about wiring up LEDs so thanks again.
