Help needed with r1 charging problem (5jj)

R1 5jj not charging guys I have swapped rectifier but no change rectifier does get warm to touch checked all earths any help appreciated

The stator burned out on my <- R1, to check it you'll need a multimeter.

Check the resistance between all three wires from the stator, they should all be the same, about 2 - 4 ohms IIRC, i.e. between any two wires.

Also check each one to earth, there should be no earth continuity.

Been and bought a multi meter but a little unsure wich setting it needs to be on !!!!

If this link works it should take you to a download of a 98 R1 workshop manual, I think page 374 tells you how to check the stator and the required impedance.
