stumped as to know why??
Bit of a tale to get to my point so please beare with me.
I have a rover 25(1.4 k series) which I am using for much of my build.
fitting a 1.8 engine (from a 45) having removed the engine wiring loom as far as the ecm from the 25. I noticed that on the plastic air intake manifold fitted to the 1.8 engine( from the 45) the boss for the intake temp sensor is blanked off( fitted under the throttle body) But on the 25 rover inlet manifold it is there.
So my question is should I fit the the 25 inlet manifold or keep as is and think it will go to a default setting and in the case of the option are the injectors the same?

Depends which engine loom you are using.

On late 1990s engines a combined MAP and IAT sensor was fitted but only the MAP output was used a seperate IAT was fitted.
On later engines the temperature output from the combined sensor was used and the separate IAT deleted.

oops!!
the loom is from a 2000 model and the air inlet manifold is from a 2003 model.
so should I fit the earlier manifold or is there an alternative

Either fit the green IAT screw into the later manifold (position isn't that critical) or swap the injectors.
