Granada electronic speed sensor

As title really I'm doing an install on a Gr4 escort which has the electronic speedo drive from the Granada. I've done a search on here to no avail really as the wire colours are different.
Its a 3 wire hall effect drive with the std ford 3 pin plug ( with what looks like a filled in Y locater in the middle.)
Wire colours/pin no's are
1 Brown
2 Black and brown
3 yellow and brown.

My guess is
brown to earth
black and brown to ign +
Yellow/brown as sensor output.
But I don't want to scrap a £ 100 gauge thats not mines.
Its going on to a Vdo speedo which I have all the diagrams for.

Thanks in advance people.

sound good, IIRC that is how I worked out the wiring on mine, but then I was using a Granada loom and instrument pod. But it sounds right.

Ford have always used Brown for the earth, and Black for 12v + so I would think that your on the right track. HTH Ray

Yep thats how I did mine. Bench tested it with a mondeo sensor aswell.
