Hi all - I'm having a few problems with the ignition system. On the ignition side loom I have 5 wires. Brown, blue, red, white and grey. My
problem is as follows... on the barrel base (the contacts face) there is a small resistor fitted. I understand the white is a fused permanent feed
straight from battery and the grey feeds the ECU, brown is return to provide main line for ancillaries. Could someone give me some indication as to
what i need to connect to the Sierra ignition barrel and where to place the resistor to fool the ECU I've got the original barrel?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
TIA
Hellfire,
I can't help you unfortunately, but there's a number of 12R builders on the Yahoo BEC list who probably know this stuff in their sleep.

If it's like the zx9r you need to connect the grey wire to the white with a 100ohm resistor. Someone on here has a website all about it but I haven't put it in favourites, doh!
Aye Pete - I figured the 100 ohm resistor (which I have from the orginal ignition barrel) needed to go in - just didn't know where.
By the time it is done it'll be on our website
Steve - I've posted on the Yahoo BEC too... only 1 answer to date
