I have a set of round 70mm stop tail lamps and indicators made by Durite UK. They have no 'E' markings on them. Would they pass the SVA without markings.

I think they have to be E marked, or meet the same criteria.

Generally, no, rear fogs must be "E" and "f" marked but stop/tail & ind., if they are similar to an "E" marked standard will (should) get through. However look around screw holes as Land Rover type, even when "E" marked will fail doe to sharp edges.

I know of a few cars that have passed SVA with the Lucas / landrover style back lights. This is probably one of the discretionary areas. The bit that amazes me is when using the cheap square gogs and reverse lights, the housings are too sharp. How did they come up with the regs - i cant for the life of me think how they will injure anyone. Just like from suspension hex heads - if someone got thier head in that area the last thing they would worry about is a hex impression on their foreheads - they would be too mangled to see it!
Im all for SVA tho so agree on compliance. Kit car std has improved drastically since it was introduced and values are higher as a result.
