I have a digidash 1 on my MK and have a couple of questions: -

1) I have the 3-pin plug for the serial connection but no 9-pin D-plug at the other end. Can someone tell me which of the 3 pins connects to which pins on a D-plug so I can solder a suitable cable?

2) I need the 4-pin connector to hook up the auxiliary switches for lap timing etc. Is this a standard connector I can get from maplin/farnell etc or do I need to get this from ETB? If it's standard does anyone have a part number?

3) Oil sensors seem sensible. I intend to get an oil pressure sensor from ETB which I understand can replace the existing low-pressure switch and feed the pressure guage (if mounted remotely with hose), but am I correct in thinking that I'd need a suitably modified sump (fireblade) if I want oil temperature too? On this subject too where may I get suitable hose from?

4) I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Digidash (1) can have a GPS (or accelerometer?) input to log position for uber-geeky telemetry - am i dreaming or is this true and if so where from and how much? (not listed on ETB site). Probably not hugely useful to me for tuning purposes etc to be honest but I'm a techno geek so it seems a cool thing to have

Have you tried going to the ETB website. They have several downloads available. Might have the wiring diags you need. They also have the latest analysis software there for download too.

Does the DD1 have the 2 axis g sensors. These can be used to good effect to draw the circuit map in the analysis tools so you can monitor your progress on track. I have been led to believe these are more accurate than gps based monitors.

DD1 Serial Connector Pin Outs

3 Pin PLUG --> 9 Pin D-Type

PIN 1 --> PIN 2
PIN 2 --> PIN 3
PIN 3 --> PIN 5

Not sure about the g-sensors, I will enquire however my understanding of g sensors is that they are good in conjunction with GPS for interpolation purposes. g sensors on their own are liable to drift effects, for example the effect of G applied to the sensor under body roll (granted that's less of an issue if you're not driving a standard road car).
