Fuel tank sender, dip style.
the_fbi - 26/3/06 at 10:01 PM

Did a search which chucked up a load of different solutions, but none for a source of dip tube style senders.

Its a fuzzy picture and the length could be an issue, but this looks pretty good and cheap too.

There are 4 connections on the top which doesn't make sense....?

Thoughts?

The trouble is the ohms. You will need to match it to your gauge or you will get odd readings.
The 4 terminals might be for a low fuel level warning light, plus gauge.

I gave up on the Smiths swing arm sender and bought a VDO gauge and dip tube sender instead. Ncely damped reading and you can pack the tank with foam too which might help for track days.

I bought mine from Merlin Motorsport and got a length to suit my tank. Tank is 170mm deep the dip tube is 166mm long.

Rough idea of cost?
