I'm sure Im looking at this too hard!

The tacho part of my Digidsh1 cable is effectivley 3 wires.

red
white
shielded braid.

The manual only shows and referes to

red
black.

Ok - The red goes to ign coil1.

Should I connect the

White to earth

or

The outer braid to earth?

(for normal electornics I'd used the braid as the earth)

Even more confused now cus I've just realised that its a 5 pin connector with 6 wires + braiding.

I'd meter it out, but left the cable back at the garage.

Wierd one mate, I thought I only had red and black, best bet might be to check with John at ETB just to make sure, unless someone else has had the same issue on here.
