What wattage of bulds are you using. They should all be about 21w. The lower the wattage the quicker they will flash.

its because youve got led rear lights youll need to put a resistor in to compensate.
or some more bulbs

LED with resistors on front

normal bulb ??watt on the back

and I wired a middle one into the right signal and they started to flash ok(right turn) for a bit then went back to flashing quick

they always flash quick when left signal
but no middle bulb wired into that one yet

Have you got the resistors wired in series or parallel?

zxrlocost - 19/4/06 at 09:29 PM

erm the resistors came with the front LEDs

they were on two seperate wires that extended onto the original wires

So they are mounted in parallel which is correct. It sounds like a wattage / flasher unit problem. If you add up the total watts for one side, it should equal around 52W. Assuming your repeaters are conventional lamps, the only iffy bit will be the resistor value. Do you know the value?

Have you checked you earthing arangements. A poor earth can cause rapid flashing.

SVC will sell you a relay that is not wattage sensitive.

ill have a look later and see if I can sort the wattage first

sorted thanks with the wattage thing

Connect the indicator feed wire to the resistor and from the resistor to earth.
One each side.
The resistor is frequently fitted behind the dash and should have a heat sink.
