i have a pinto with a smaller alternator it is a lucas 101 i am not to shaw if it fits a dohc

I had the same problem with My Pinto.

I went to local scrapper, and ended up using one from a Micra. If you get one from a scrapper, dont forget to get the alternator plug, and the original bracket. This will help you modify it to fit you application.

Cheers,

I got one off a vitara, think its the same as demon tweeks sell as a small light race alternator for something ridiculous like 180 quid.

I havent fitted it yet but it is much smaller than the lucus one I have.

Cheers

what's the going rate on these?

(I have jap car breakers and keep meaning go go down there for one - might get a few if folks are interested).

I think the nippon denso onbes can be fitted wither side of engine?

they look like this: and if I do pick some up, the pulley will be for narrow V-belt (pre-zetec engine I beleive)
