evening. Iv got a little problem with my wiring and i havent a clue what it is.

Iv got vicki green loom and im using a rocker switch for the headlamps and sierra indicator stalk. Everything works except main beam. It will flash but not flick on to main beam.. I cant make out why itl flash but not flick on.

Any one any clues?? Dodgey main beam switch??

hi ya , not too sure so dont quote me too much , if i remember rightly the earth on the stalk needs taking off and puting to a live , ford wired up differant and ran the switch to earth where as you need it to live , sound sill but it is worth a try , hope it works

i remember this one, the flash and perminant circuit use different earths to switch the relay, so that the perminant main beam only works if the dipped beam is on. It earths through the main beam switch. Have a fiddle with this in mind.

Also worth checking the earth which cross connects the two stalks - this can produce confusing faults.

I might understand this if it wasnt half 6 in the morning.

Im only using the sierra indicator stalk so the earths of both stalks isnt an option. That pin diagram is handy. Ill have a look when i get home i think i know where im wrong.

Right i think i have it sussed. Well it all works.

nice one! the earth that razman mentions, between the two switches, is the one i meant, taking a signal from the flasher at the left to the light switch on the right.
