can anyone suggest where i could buy a bonnet scoop to hide the big hole i have had to make for the air filter !!

I bought my scoop from Redline, who make replacement bits for Lotus & Caterham cars. Look on my website to see what it looks like (link below).

It wasn't a silly amount of money, but it was a crummy dirty-grey colour when it arrived - it need a bit of fettling before it was fit for spraying. Came out OK in the end, though.

How did you fix the scoop in place.

PU adhesive and self-tapping screws up from below (it comes with a 20mm lip un the underside)
