Indicator combined Park light

I do not have any Park lights in my headlight and my indicators are single element units.

Can somebody tell me how to do the wiring to make my indicators come on when I switch my park lights on, but to flash when the indicator is actually used.

Secondary (if possible) I would like the park lights to turn off when I turn the headlights on.

I saw a Cadelack or some big American car where the stop lights doubled as indicators. So while the brakes were applied the one brakelight was permanently on and the othe rone was flashing

My Mk2 Golf does this.

I spent a long time with my electronics engineer father trying to replicate it using the Sierra parts and Premier loom.

It eventually became so complicated we gave up!

Using more parts, like the Golf flasher relay and bits would allow it of course but I wanted to stick with the Sierra stuff.

Cheers,
James

The UK vehicle laws don't allow that type of combined lighting - I had a Pontiac Transporter which had that system and nobody wanted to give it an MOT because of the lights. I had to install extra indicators to make them happy.
