All I can find are the self adhesive type - the foam pads just fall off after a while so I need something more permanent.
Any ideas guys?

Premier wiring sell some that can be screwed or rivetted on, and hold a cable tie.

peel the foam pad off and superglue or sikaflex on if you can't get in to drill or need it to fasten to the back of a body panel.

my sva tester suggested it for some loose wires i had to the back lights.

I can't drill & fix as it is on the inside of my fibreglass bodywork - the Sikaflex idea might be good though.
The problem is that the flowcoat is a little 'waxy' and the foam pads just give way after a few weeks, despite initially feeling rock solid.

Tryed cleaning the area with meths before appying?

I had the same problem with the foam sticky pads.

used contact adhesive for some of mine which make it easy to stick them on where the surface is upside down.

Silkaflex is probably stronger though.

They seem to have stayed on so far.

At my sva they looked for something that was specifically mechanically fixed not reliant on adhesive. As you know foam pads are out. I screwed all of mine in place. I was led to believe anything less would be a fail. I didnt consider sikaflex etc however so dont know how that would appease the tester. I guess this is a subjective area, some will pass and others may have an issue with it. Might be worth a call to your local centre for clarification.

Them foam pads are shite. I tried some better pads but they were shite too. Sikaflex or araldite/impact adhesihe is the only way.
