Hi guys, I read the post below but it didn't help me too much.
my problem is that I bought a 3 prong universal flasher unit and haven't the slightest idea how to wire it up.(already blew one up!)
My indicators will be activated by a 3 phase toggle switch and the hazards a two phase. The flasher has a 'L' , 'P' and
'X' stamped on it. Which goes where? (I don't mind using one unit for each)
next, I have a universal ammeter gauge with a '+L' and '+B', where do these get connected?
thanks

i recon x=earth,p=power,l=load ie to indicator switch, you will have to use a seperate hazard switch as the indicators will flash both sides cos of
wiring the hazzards in,just put a diode in each of the wires from haz sw to bulbs to stop current coming back up,the ammeter will read the wrong way
if you wire it up wrong,no damage done thats how mine is done and it aint blown up
ps i belive an ammeter wont show charge with an alternator for some reason
Thanks, I'll try it 2moro!
cheers

I managed to wire the flasher unit up the way you said, only without the 'X' earth. oh well as long as it works i suppose.
still a bit unclear where to connect the ammeter, what exactly do I want to measure?
thanks

the ammeter sences power going through a wire both charging and discharging,so basicly if you put it in series in the feed to the fuse box it will
sence all in and outgoings and read whatever is the greater, dont run starter cable though or it will burn out
Thanks, will give it a bash later!
