Anyone know where I can get replacement bezels for guages? I have a load of second hand guages and all match except the speedo which is the V profile in chrome all the others are flat profile in black. I wold really like to get the speedo to match the others.

does the bezel come off the speedo? could it be modified? maybe a bit of careful filing, wet and dry paper and a bit of black paint?

I doubt it can be modified - all bezels I have seen, and that by no means is all possbile manufactureres and styles, the bezel is a thin piece of metal pressed into shape.

filing that would leave you with no metal.

worst case, paint the chorem back to match, after a while, even you wonlt notice it!

Humph. It seems you can get Smiths bezels or imperial chrome bezels but not VDO flat ones. So probably will resort to paint so next thing how do you get paint to stck to chrome?
