i used normal cable ties with a modification, then i pu'd the fan in place to cut down on vibration

Maplins will have cable ties

Car builder solutions do the mounting kit but yes- you can probably DIY something and save some cash in line with the Locost mentality!!

locost option went out the winow ahen I phoned holeshot a year ago

Don't use them! They will eventually wear through your radiator core and leave you stranded on a wet, cold winters night. (guess how I know )

Do it properly and make a bracket - that's a permanent solution.

te problem with a bracket is that I cant get the fan tight to the rad.

Someone on the Cobra site managed to get small tubes soldered (?) through his matrix to allow the cable ties to pass through to avoid the cable ties sawing through the rad.

if there is place for a Tie wrap you can also penetrat some M5 volts just use a old drill and a hammer it gives way

(slowly offcourse) and pick a good place

get big washers (penny) and you should be done with 2 bolts in diagonal.. put the nuts (nylocs) on the front to cool the nyloc down or else put 2 normal nuts on (better)

Tks

p.s.
saying that i have quet some room between the 2 saying that 2 witht he nosecone on i don't think its much differece and when i trew something before the rad it would just stick to it

I'm pretty sure it was the article in PPC that suggested it was best to leave a gap between rad and fan anyway.

Cheers,
James
