I am trying to find a way of installing an 'intelligent' warning buzzer to my indicator circuit. I have tried piezzo buzzers which come on
with the indicators but they just get very irritating around town.
Ideally, I would like the buzzer to have a delayed action, coming on approximately 10 seconds after the indicator is switched on. Does anyone know if
a gizmo is available to achieve this?
have a look on www.rswww.com
and search for part number 433-4026
12vdc delay on time, just connect it in series with your piezu sounder, and set it to 10secs.

Ouch, it's £30
and wouldn't it just reset on every pulse?
Maybe a self cancelling circuit exists somewhere?
A mate of mine has self canceling indicator circuit on his Caterham. I think he has two push buttons on the steering wheel, one left, one right.
Push the button, it indicates for 15 seconds then cancels itself.
I can ask him how / where he got it from if you want?
Mike
Thanks guys - I would really like to keep the existing indicator & hazards switches so maybe the Caterham system isn't going to work for me. My problem is compounded as I am using an electronic flasher with LED indicators, so a thermal type cancel relay is not going to work either.
