Do p-clips need to be rubber coated? the reason is i have some galvinised band from work which you can get from screw fix, it's like the stuff from car builders solutions only with out the plastic coating.
It WILL NOT RUST AND EVEN IF YOU BUY IT ITS ONLY £2.83 A 10MTR ROLL.

Thanks.

I think so, though it'd be fairly easy to get some rubber channel the right width, but by the time you've messed about, you might as well have bought some.

What about where you cut it? Go for plastic - that definitely won't rust

Cut some nylon or plastic pipe to the width of your clip and slit the side to go round your pipe then put the clip round it.
