Pinto Fuel Shut off valve
JoelP - 4/8/03 at 09:36 PM

I accidently removed part of the wiring loom on my sierra donor, traced most of it back except the black wire that leaves the ignition module.

Haynes says it goes to the fuel shut off valve, so three things:

1- does a 1600 1989 pinto have one?
2- is it necessary?
3 - where is it?

any help aprecciated.

also is it usual to have a tachometer wire but no tacho? none as standard but wire seems to be there.

My 87 2.0ltr didn't have one but I saw one on a later car with a reset in the dash behind the ashtray. You shouldn't need it on a locost. The looms are pretty standard throughout the range with a facility for all the extras whether fitted or not so the rev counter wire will be there.

yours, Pete.
