MEV rocket lights

...look interesting - all oval shapes apart from the bike-style frotn indicators which are mounted onto the headlamp shells - interesting approach!

The rear lights look quite good too - a bit of a change from the round single ones or hamburger style.

(apologies for the size of these pics - that's how they are on the NEV website)

Is it me or do the bottom mounts for the front wishbones look a bit crap???

Isn't it just a slightly ugly copy of an Atom?

Don't fancy it

i was just about to type that.

they may work perfectly well, but they look......wrong. the extension surely puts massive stress on the weld onto the chassis with the increased moment.

From what I have seen of the MEV i wouldnt buy one, I just dont think the design is all that clever, and there are things the like bottom front wishbone mounts that put me right off. Its just a bad design.

I dont think one has been SVA'd yet, but stand to be corrected on that.

Those front lights wouldnt pass SVA thats for sure, as they are spot lights, they have no beam pattern at all (look at the lenses).

This months compete kitcar (Which Kit as was) claims it went straight though SVA first time.

I like the design and concept a lot. The suspension mounting arrangements do need some thought IMO (the bent tube with the upper wishbone mount which you can't see in those pictures especially).

Maybe MEV aka stig mills would like to comment, he posts on the mid engline section mostly.

yes it's been through sva, I spoke to the owner/designer (mev) at stoneleigh and he had the mac certificate there. went straight through apparently.
maybe because the engine is in the back, the front wishbones are like that, but I'm no expert

Very very tidy front cycle wing mounts though.
